Big$hot is a financial strategy game where you buy, manage and sell properties. The objective is to have the most equity in cash and properties when the game ends.
Properties can be improved upon by increasing their efficiency to drive down costs, by increasing quality to improve profit margins and by increasing sales by attracting more customers through advertising. Owning multiple properties of a particular kind will decrease costs and improve profits for all properties owned of that type. Helper properties like real estate agencies, construction firms and ad companies can also be run profitably while also complementing all of the other properties in your business empire.
Using the build-a-deal interface the player can propose and receive a variety of cash and property bundles. Distressed properties will be foreclosed upon by the bank which will also hold auctions when it has properties that have sat on the real estate market for too long. As the game progresses the player will also want to pay attention to the economic cycles - boom cycles are great times for profits but down turns can also present opportunities to pick up distressed properties for less money - the savvy player will prosper in all markets.
