Dungeon Demon allows the map designer to have a master grid and potentially an override grid for each layer. What's a grid? A grid can be both a display overlay for a given layer (rendered in the expected vertical and horizontal lines) and a framework for stamper and tiled objects to snap to. For example, if you stamp down a chest graphic on a layer that is using the master grid or has its' own grid enabled then that object will be pulled to the nearest grid intersection. Grids are very useful when used with the tiler to place floor and wall sections as the tiled sections will drop down within the tiled sections making it easy to line walls up with floors.

By default wall and tiler layers have grids enabled and object layers do not.
