Uni2HTML is a windows utility that serves two purposes. The first is to translate unicode files into a form that browsers will display properly. For example, if you have a unicode file in another language such as Cyrillic and you need the contents transformed into the codes that will cause a browser to display the text properly on a web page then Uni2HTML is your answer! Uni2HTML will take a unicode text file and create an ASCII file with the Cyrillic escape codes embedded so that they can be cut and pasted into a web page. Uni2HTML can also take the text and output an HTML file directly so it can simply be uploaded directly to the web or used on an internal intranet

The second function that Uni2HTML performs is to fix text documents so that those pesky characters that word processors, like Word, create that browsers can't properly display are displayed with appropriate substitutes instead of as ugly question marks. These special characters include the left and right facing quotation marks, the curled apostrophe character, the wide dash and the triple period character.
