House Condition
A house's value is determined by its size, location and the condition it is in. The condition a house is in will be shown by one to five gold stars being displayed beneath it, with one gold star denoting a house that is in terrible condition and five gold stars being excellent. You can increase your house's value and the rent it earns by either upgrading it or doing a complete renovation. An upgrade will raise the condition of your house by one star and can be performed even when you have renters living in the place. A renovation is a complete top to bottom construction job that will require eviction of your tenant before work can begin. Per house condition improvement a renovation is less expensive than upgrading - if you can afford it, taking a completely trashed house, gutting it and doing a thorough renovation is your best investment as a real estate speculator.
